Here's the dig.. "..parental abusers, 38.7% were mothers and 17.9% were
fathers.."
Wow, slightly over two-to-one difference in who does the abusing. Where's
the out cry to jail abusive mothers? And while we're at it, isn't it abuse
when an NCP mother with-holds C$? Isn't it abuse when a CP mother
with-holds a child's access to their father?

Where's the media on that? Where's the legal system when that happens?
Where are our politicians when they've been told the truth on these matters?

I'll tell you, they're asleep at the wheel and this ship is headed for the
wall at full speed.

Hats off to Rob Franklin. As usual, an out standing piece.

HHS Administration for Children and Families Releases 2007 Data on Child
Maltreatment
By Robert Franklin, Esq. | May 20, 2009
The news from the Department of Health and Human Services Administration for
Children and Families is mostly good, at least by comparison to previous
years. Each year the ACF compiles and publishes data gathered from all 50
states on maltreatment of children in the United States.

In 2007, 794,000 children were victims of abuse or neglect. That's down
111,000 from 2006. It's a rate of about 10.6 children abused per 1,000
children in the general population. That's substantially off the peak of
15.4 per 1,000 in 1993. Of those, 59% were victims of neglect while 10.8%
were victims of physical abuse and 7.6% of sexual abuse.

As in past years, the younger the child, the more likely he or she is to be
a victim of abuse. Twenty-two percent of abused children were under the age
of 1. There is an inverse relationship between a child's age and the
likelihood of abuse.

Girls are slightly more likely to suffer abuse than are boys, but boys are
more likely to die from abuse than are girls. Some 1,760 children died from
abuse or neglect in 2007.

Almost 80% of perpetrators of child abuse were parents and 6.6% were other
relatives. Some 56.5% of abusers were women and 42.4% were men with the
balance being of unknown sex. Among parental abusers, 38.7% were mothers
and 17.9% were fathers. An additional 16.8% of abuse was done by both a
mother and a father.

Here's the ACF report in its entirety.

According to you, 90% of the time women have custody, if men are
abusing kids 42% of the time while only 10% have custody they must be
abusing in overdrive to keep those numbers up.

======

There you go again mixing up statistical data for child custody and child
abuse to suit your agenda.

The nasty little details your theory ignores are child custody statistics
are for the father and mother. Child abuse statistics are for men and
women. Men who abuse children are rarely divorce fathers. They are
mother's live-in boyfriends, relatives like aunts, uncles, grandparents,
etc., and both parents in an intact family setting.
